ShaSa Resort & Residences Koh Samui

Hello everyone,

I’m here to tell you about my recent stay at ShaSa Resort and Residences in Koh Samui, Thailand. I went on a trip to Koh Samui, and we decided on staying at ShaSa Resort and Residences because of all the great things we’ve heard. I’ve never been to this island before but ShaSa made it one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

To begin, after arriving at the pier, a shuttle from the resort picked us up right away. They packed our bags in the car, and we were off to the resort. The driver was very nice and took us on a route that toured the town. He later told us that there would be a shuttle service back to the city if we would like to come back. After about 30 minutes we arrived at the very exclusive resort. It was like entering your own personal vacation spot. Upon arriving, checking in was a breeze. We were greeted by smiling staff with the best attitudes I have seen in my experiences staying at hotels. Our bags were on their way up to the room, while we were able to take a look around. The first thing I noticed from the lobby was the amazing view.

It showed many glistening pools, and a view straight to the ocean. The ocean was literally twenty steps away. After taking a quick look around, we were off to our rooms. We booked the deluxe 3-bedroom suite. When we go there it was like we had a Las Vegas Penthouse all to ourselves. The room was gigantic!

It was probably the largest room I’ve ever stayed in for that price. Not only was the living area, rooms, and bathrooms were huge, but also the balcony was also very big. We could probably have our own 15-person party on the balcony. We unpacked in a jiff and all sat down on the many couches they provide. There was also a full kitchen, washer, and dryer! I think I would just enjoy living here because it really provided everything we needed. After lounging for a bit with the music from my ipod, which they also have an ipod jack for, we decided that it was time to eat. Going downstairs to the “Beyond the Sea” restaurant that they have, I noticed a kids club close by. I went in to take a look and it looked was very impressing. There were 4 LCD tvs with Nintendo Wii’s and the Playstation 3. There was also a huge lego collection where kids could use their imaginations to the fullest extent. Aside from all the movies and cartoons that they have, there were also large extended areas for adults to relax or sleep while their kids play.

Now, back to the restaurant. Walking in, I noticed a wine cooler at the entrance and a full bar inside the restaurant. There was open-air seating that had gorgeous views of the beach. We decided to sit outside to enjoy the ambience of the resort. The food was amazing.

There is really nothing else that I could say. We had crispy golden fried crab Thai omelet, and many exotic dishes like the jumbo prawn tom yum soup. All the flavors were there and there was no blandness whatsoever.

The drinks were also very unique as well. I got the latte and there was a cinnamon rock sugar stick made for stirring to make the latte sweeter. Also, the Irish coffee wasn’t too overwhelming. It was the right balance of sweet, bitter, and alcohol.

The dessert was probably my favorite. It consisted of green mung beans in warm sweet and fresh coconut milk. I couldn’t help myself but enjoy two servings.

After dinner, we got to enjoy the spa, with the most pleasant scent. There were towel animals on the beds that were amusing and pleasing to the eye.

The staff was very friendly and the masseuses were extraordinary. ShaSa Resort and Residences was simply an amazing experience. There is no doubt in my mind that I will definitely be back here. Hopefully sooner than later.
